MobAlt offers its customers two IT tools with functions that are partly distinct, partly superimposable, but still complementary.
MobAlt App is designed for business users who want to explore mobility alternatives for their commute to work, track their itineraries with the Bikecoin function, book mobility solutions, reserve a company parking space or a desk, pay comfortably for the transport tickets they use, communicate with the MobAlt Staff or other users of the same company, shuttle or carpooling team. A tool for everyday use.
MobAlt Admin is a management tool, mostly usable by Mobility Managers who need to view lists of users and reservations related to their company, manage company parking, accounting, import business data on employee mobility, evaluate the mobility potential of their company, view the progress of the Bikecoin program and more.
MobAlt products are developed by the company Mobitrends S.A..
MobAlt IT products are part of a modular service aimed at companies whose subscription price varies according to the number of employees of the company itself. Contact us for an offer.
The use of the tools for the business user, on the other hand, is free of charge.
We suggest reading the Mobalt's Privacy Policy.
MobAlt requires that those who provide their car (minimum of 4 seats) for carpooling, verify that they can carry passengers with their civil liability insurance, and that the insurance covers all the people being transported and all the possible consequences deriving from an accident along the way. Please note that civil liability insurance is mandatory for all motor vehicles. When a car is approved, an RC insurance certificate is essential. The driver also certifies that he has a regular driving license, that he drives the vehicle with a blood alcohol level of zero per thousand and is free from the use of drugs. Each participant accepts the Mobalt Carpooling Rules which provides for the obligation to behave correctly and civilly, avoiding attitudes that may create obstacles to the proper performance of the service. If they occur, immediately notify the MobAlt user service (+41 77 453 90 26) or info@mobalt.ch).
The insurance is at your expense: when you receive the bike or scooter, you must sign a Liberatory statement with which you assume responsibility in the event of theft, damage to the bicycle or damage to third parties. If you own the RC, you should be covered without a problem.
Along with the bike you will also receive a helmet, a padlock, a cape and, if necessary, a set of lights that will be returned when you return the bike.
Every bike is covered by theft insurance. When you receive the bike, you are asked to sign a Liberatory statement with which, upon the occurrence of such an event, you agree to pay the deductible of 500.- fr.
Scooters, on the other hand, are not covered by theft insurance, so if they are stolen during the rental period or free trial, it is your responsibility to reimburse the value to Mobalt.
The use of the MobAlt app is free for the business user.
If you have received a six-character alphanumeric code, it means that your company is registered with Mobalt services and you are therefore authorized to use the Mobalt app as a business user.
Once the MobAlt app has been downloaded and opened, click on 'Register' below and enter the company code in the appropriate field before starting the process of creating your user account.
You can delete your account at any time by going to the 'Account' section of the app. For more information about the processing of your personal data, read the Mobalt's Privacy Policy.
In the 'Suggestions' section, it is possible to query Mobalt about the mobility options of any itinerary by modifying the search parameters at the top of the screen, as described in this tutorials.
After opening the MobAlt app, click on 'Forgotten? ' and enter your e-mail; you will receive a link from which you can reset your password.
They are the best alternatives for your home-work trips (or any other itinerary you are interested in) based on the information provided during the registration process.
The proposed alternatives take into account the address you entered as departure and the arrival address (filled in by default with that of the company) and the usual working hours indicated by you. By default, the solutions available for the next day are shown, but it is possible to change this parameter in the search settings.
When you are on the 'Suggestions' page, click on the orange addresses at the top to open the search parameters page. For a more detailed description, see the tutorials.
The results are the same because the new itinerary is probably very similar to the previous one.
The percentage attributed to each proposed alternative represents the degree of suitability for the itinerary for which you searched. The more complete the green circle on the graph is, the more suitable that alternative is for following that itinerary. Alternatives with a degree of suitability of less than 20% are not shown as they are considered not feasible in reality. The app shows the alternatives ranked (or ordered) from most suitable to least suitable. It is possible to draw up the ranking of suggestions by choosing between four different indicators: travel speed, environmental impact, physical activity, economic savings.
The eligibility percentage is calculated with our specific algorithm that combines different criteria, including the duration of the trip compared to the same route taken by car. The lower the values of these parameters, the more suitable the alternative is considered.
You can view the details of the round trip of each proposed alternative, simply by clicking on it as shown in tutorials.
It is necessary to manually activate the tracking with the “Start route” button. For the interruption, you can do it manually or let the app take care of it automatically, checking that you have first activated the option “Automatic interruption of tracking at the destination” available in the Bikecoin settings.
By default, the address of your home and that of the head office of the company you work for are registered as possible start/arrival points. However, if there are other addresses that you regularly use during your work week (for example your partner's home, a hotel, the headquarters of a supplier, a customer, a different location of your company), it is strongly recommended to register them in Bikecoin favorites. This operation will facilitate not only any automatic interruption upon reaching the destination, but also the automatic approval of the itinerary through our algorithm.
No, the Mobalt app allows you to track itineraries by bike, on foot or on a scooter. The actual remuneration of the corresponding Bikecoins, on the other hand, may vary depending on the company's will or the campaign in which the company participates.
Our algorithm is based on speed recognition functions compared to the type of vehicle indicated by the user and the slope of the stretch he is traveling. In addition, the points of departure and arrival must coincide with home and work or with two of those entered by the user in his favorites. When all these parameters are verified, the itinerary is automatically approved; otherwise the system requires manual analysis by the Mobalt staff who will decide whether to accept or reject the itinerary. The Mobalt staff may contact the user to ask for more details.
The incentive given for collecting Bikecoin varies depending on the company or campaign in which you participate. For more information on your specific case, contact the Mobalt staff by writing to info@mobalt.ch.
The Mobalt staff produces a monthly report that they send to your company's mobility manager. The frequency with which incentives are paid/delivered may vary depending on business needs.
The moment you click on the 'Join Team' button, the team leader of that group will receive a notification and can accept or decline your request. Until it does, your booking will remain visible with a 'pending' status in the appropriate section of the app. The moment the team leader makes a decision, the reservation status will change to 'accepted' or 'rejected'. If you want to get in touch directly with the carpooling group you are interested in, use the group chat that appears on your conversation list as soon as the team leader accepts your request. Until then, you can only contact the team by writing to the MobAlt user service (+41 77 453 90 26) or info@mobalt.ch).
